Nha Trang Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the world, covers an area of over 500km², including 19 large and small islands, of which, Hon Tre is the largest with an area of 3,250 ha and the smallest is Noi Islet only 4 ha. Along Nha Trang Bay is the most beautiful street in the coastal city, Tran Phu. Tran Phu beach, a seven-kilometre stretch of golden sand, has a backdrop of forested mountains and is bordered by palm trees, colourful flowers, and a range of beachside attractions such as bars and restaurants. The climate in the bay is divided into two distinct seasons. The dry season is from January to August, the rainy season is from September to December. The annual average temperature is 26⁰C; the hottest is 39⁰C, the coldest is 14.4⁰C. In terms of ecology, Nha Trang Bay is one of the rare natural models of bay system in the world. The bay gathers most of rare typical ecosystems of wetlands, tropical sea such as coral reefs, mangroves, sea grass; estuarine ecosystems, marine island ecosystems and coastal sandy ecosystems.
